Teen Boy Settles AIDS Bias Case

A 14-year-old boy and his mother have settled an AIDS discrimination lawsuit against a boarding school. The Milton Hershey School, which has about 1,850 students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, refused to enroll the boy because he is HIV-positive. The boy will receive $700,000 from the settlement of an AIDS discrimination lawsuit. The school also must pay $15,000 in civil penalties and provide HIV training for students and staff members.
