$2.75 Million from WRS Compass for Victims of Race Harassment at Clean-Up Site

A Tampa-based environmental clean-up company has agreed to pay $2.75 million to resolve a race discrimination case brought the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The lawsuit charged that WRS Environment and Infrastructure, Inc. (d/b/a WRS Compass) subjected seven black workers at its Lake Calumet, Illinois, site to a racially hostile work environment.
