Electric Company in Hawaii Settles EEOC Disability Discrimination Suit

In Hawaii, the Hawaiian Electric Company, Inc. (HECO) is going to settle a Disability Discrimination Suit which was brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The company was accused on denying employment to an applicant who has an eye condition that sought to work for the company as a meter reader.
