Overweight Massachusetts Woman Outraged That She Was Refused Medical Treatment

Ida Davidson, a Massachusetts woman, is outraged after a doctor turned her away because of her weight. Davidson, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, claims that Dr. Helen Carter, a primary care physician at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worchester, refused to treat her because she is clinically obese. Philadelphia swim club discrimination case settled

The Justice Department announced a settlement agreement in a Philadelphia-area racial discrimination case. The case dates back to June 2009. Creative Steps Day Camp of Northeast Philadelphia paid The Valley Swim Club in Huntingdon Valley for pool access for summer campers.
