Big Lots pays $155,000 to settle sex harassment case

The Big Lots closeout chain has settled a sexual harassment lawsuit involving its Fort Smith, Ark., store for $155,000. The company will pay $155,000 to four claimants and furnish other relief to settle a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC. NYU dental school lawsuit by former student to avail civil rights

A former honors student who attended NYU’s dental school sued the academic institution claiming that she had to meet a $38,000 quota in clinical work in order to earn her degree, in addition to having to invest in more classes to graduate.
