A gay Chilean doctoral student, Alberto Leguina Ruzzi, 25 years old, is suing Columbia University. He claims that he was fired from his job after complaining that a supervisor sexually harassed him. TSA orders retraining in wake of recent racial profiling in Newark airport

After reports surfaced of racial profiling at airports in Newark, Honolulu and Boston, the Transportation Security Administration is ordering refresher training for behavior detection workers at 161 airports. In addition, the TSA is reviewing training, data collection and other elements of the nationwide program. Overweight Massachusetts Woman Outraged That She Was Refused Medical Treatment

Ida Davidson, a Massachusetts woman, is outraged after a doctor turned her away because of her weight. Davidson, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, claims that Dr. Helen Carter, a primary care physician at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worchester, refused to treat her because she is clinically obese. Phoenix-based MKB Construction settled a retaliation discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). MKB Construction will pay $38,500 and furnish other relief to settle a retaliation discrimination. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a lawsuit against Trinity Home Health System member Mercy Hospice because of their refusal to provide a reasonable accommodation to a disabled nurse, Patricia Barriger.
