Jail guard in Pittsburgh wins settlement in retaliation case

A black female jail guard in Pittsburgh has settled her federal lawsuit in which she alleged that officials of the Allegheny County jail retaliated against her for winning an earlier discrimination claim. Florence Taylor filed a race and gender discrimination complaint in 2007 alleging she was passed over for promotion to sergeant.
