Ida Davidson, a Massachusetts woman, is outraged after a doctor turned her away because of her weight. Phoenix-based MKB Construction settled a retaliation discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). MKB Construction will pay $38,500 and furnish other relief to settle a retaliation discrimination. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a lawsuit against Trinity Home Health System member Mercy Hospice because of their refusal to provide a reasonable accommodation to a disabled nurse, Patricia Barriger. A Puyallup, Wash., used-truck dealership violated federal law when its general manager engaged in ongoing harassment targeting a Filipino American male employee. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a lawsuit against the company. The Justice Department announced a settlement agreement in a Philadelphia-area racial discrimination case. The case dates back to June 2009. Creative Steps Day Camp of Northeast Philadelphia paid The Valley Swim Club in Huntingdon Valley for pool access for summer campers.
