Lawsuit Says Military Tolerates Rape, Assault

Women Should Be Allowed In Combat

The Military Leadership Diversity Commission, established by Congress two years ago, is recommending that the Pentagon do away with a policy that bans women from serving in combat units.  The report will be sent to Congress and President Barack Obama in the spring.  The current ban prohibits women from serving in roughly 10% of Marine Corps and Army occupational specialties.  This creates a barrier to promotions and advancement.  If the proposed policy is approved by […]
