An Alaska woman who put hot sauce in her adopted son’s mouth to get on the “Dr. Phil” show was found guilty of misdemeanor child abuse Tuesday. Mother Jessica Beagley, 36, videoed herself pouring hot sauce down the throat of her 7-year-old adopted Russian son, Kristoff, for misbehaving in school.

How Young Is Too Young To Get Married?

The question recently arose in Hollywood when a 16-year-old married a man who is 35 years older than her. “Lost” actor Doug Anthony Hutchison, 51 years old, married Alexis Stodden, who is 16 years old, in Las Vegas in May. According to Las Vegas law, minor applicants who are 16 and 17 years old can obtain a marriage license with: 1. an original or certified copy of their birth certificate, and 2. a parent or legal guardian who will provide his or her consent. Stodden’s mother, Krista Stodden, provided the necessary consent for the marriage.
